Chocolate Pudding ;D

Assalamualaikum.

Hey there! When I was pregnant with Kaisara, the food that I ate most was Chocolate Pudding! I just love CHOCOLATE! Back then, I was so lazy to make Chocolate Pudding and hubs and I ended up buying them from a supermarket till I got bored of eating them. Hehe ;P Well, recently, I craved for Chocolate Pudding and NO...I am not pregnant! ;P So, today I'd like to share with my blog readers a recipe for Chocolate Pudding including a step-by-step photos on how to make it ;D Good luck peeps!

First and foremost, you'll need the ingredients:

2 cups of full cream milk, 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/3 cup of cocoa powder, 4 teaspoons of cornstarch, 3 large egg yolks, 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, 1/4 teaspoon of fine salt and 3/4 cup of whipping cream

Let the COOKING BEGIN! Yeay!!!

Step 1:

Put 1 1/2 cup of full cream milk into a pot

Add in 1/2 cup of sugar

Add in 1/3 cup of cocoa powder

Turn on the heat over medium-high and bring to a simmer

Once it has simmered and looks like this, remove from the heat

Step 2:

Put the remaining (1/2 cup) full cream milk into a bowl

Add in 4 teaspoons of cornstarch

Add in 1/4 teaspoon of fine salt

Add in 3 large egg yolks

Add in 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

Now, whisk all the ingredients that you have in the bowl ;D

And it'll end up looking something like this pic!

Step 3:

Remember that hot milk in Step 1?

Gradually whisk the hot milk into the egg mixture that you made in Step 2

Remember! Do it gradually okay ;D

And it'll look something like this photo

Step 4:

Now, pour all the mixture that you have in Step 3 back into the same pot

Cook the mixture over medium-high heat whisking it constantly until it comes to a full boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer and keep whisking until it becomes thick.

Pour the pudding into small sundae glasses

I ended up with 4 sundae glasses ;D

Cover each glass with a plastic wrap

Here, like this!

Refrigerate them for at least 4 hours or ideally overnight until set ;D

Step 5:

You do this just before serving, okay!

You'll need a chilled bowl and 3/4 cup of whipping cream

Pour 3/4 cup of whipping cream into a chilled bowl

Whip the cream with a whisk or a hand held mixer

Continue whisking until soft peaks form (This is a very tiring process :P)

It'll look something like this! So don't give up whisking it okay peeps! ;D P.S. Do not over-beat the cream, otherwise it'll be grainy and we don't want that!

Step 6:

Serving time!!!

Take out the Chocolate Pudding from the refrigerator and remove the plastic wrap

Serve each Chocolate Pudding with a dollop of whipped cream on top!

Voila! It is now TIME TO EAT!!! YUMS!!! Enjoy!!!

See! It's that simple to make Chocolate Pudding. If you decide to have it for dessert tonight, you ought to make it in the morning or afternoon because you have to refrigerate it for a minimum of 4 hours, don't forget that okay! ;D
