Office Trip to Tasik Kenyir

Assalamualaikum.

About two weeks ago, 17th September to be exact was the day we departed from KL for our office trip to Tasik Kenyir. Last year, we visited Taman Negara which you can read about here. Tahun ni kami ke Terengganu pula.

Sebelum sampai di meeting point, little Kaisara Lily almost tak bagi Mama dia pergi when she started crying masa kat rumah lagi. Was telling her that I'll be going away for work but she burst into tears sampai lah dalam kereta.

Hubs try pujuk dia dengan Kinder Surprise Eggs video from Youtube and it worked until she asked me, "Mama, bila nak pergi? Turunlah!" Bertuah punya anak ;P

We left KL that night around 10.30 p.m. and fetched a few others on our way. We made it straight until R&R Temerloh, the first checkpoint. Since myself selalu juga balik ke Pekan, Pahang using LPT Highway and selalu juga ke Kemaman to visit Hub's brother...it was definitely a familiar route for me :)

We were supposed to stop at R&R Gambang as our second checkpoint. Tapi oleh sebab 'masalah teknikal' yang tidak dapat dielakkan (i.e. co-driver tertidur sebab mengantuk ;P), our two drivers mara ke depan tanpa henti. I accidentally fell asleep too...(but I wasn't the co-driver)

I woke up and noticed that we were already on LPT 2, which was definitely not the route that we decided earlier. We were supposed to exit at Jabor and used the roads from Cherating to Kemaman, Dungun and reached Kuala Terengganu for Subuh prayers.

Drivers panicked sekejap tapi we maintained our journey via LPT 2 and exited Ajil as informed by the highway patrol staff and it was around 5.20 a.m.

We continued our journey and reach Pengkalan Gawi Jetty just in time for Subuh prayers.

Lepas tu it was time to board the houseboat. Our houseboat for that trip was by Tasik Kenyir Ramli Houseboat.

Our first stop for the day was Herbal Island. This is where we enjoyed herbal drink yang macam-macam jenis.

Next stop...straight to Lasir Waterfall. Tapi sebelum mandi manda dekat waterfall, kita penuhkan perut lagi...

Second day pula, lepas breakfast...we headed to Kelah Sanctuary. Memang banyak aksi menangkap ikan kelah dengan tangan. To be frank, I was not into it at all sebab takut rasa geli dengan ikan-ikan tuh. It took a while, later on baru I joined my colleagues dalam sungai tu.

Habis sesi bersama ikan, pulang ke houseboat for lunch and nap until we reach our next destination which was Air Terjun Saok. Waterfall ni oklah, tapi Lasir Waterfall lagi best rasanya. As usual sesi bermandi-manda di waterfall seperti biasa.

Petang tu pula ada game kat houseboat. Sempat main jalan atas palang lagi. I didn't take part sebab dah mandi awal petang tuh. Ada 3 pemenang...congrats Kojek, Fatin and Yana!

Malam pula dinner as usual and sesi perbincangan mengenai hala tuju ke KL. It was decided that we should go to Kuala Terengganu pagi Ahad tu for sightseeing. Semua agreed and off we went.

Sesampai di jeti, one of our rides had a flat tyre. Abang-abang sado took turns untuk tukarkan tayar van and we departed from Pengkalan Gawi Jetty around 9.30 a.m.

Reached KT before 12 noon and had our lunch. Singgah sekejap dekat Pasar Payang untuk beli keropok Leko. We made our move from KT straight to KL around 2.00 p.m. melalui jalan dalam (Dungun, Kemaman, Cherating and entered the LPT highway via Jabor toll)...the original route that we were supposed to use masa on our way here.

Made a few stops along the way and akhirnya sampai KL around 10.00 p.m. where I couldn't wait to meet hubs and Kaisara Lily ;)

The next day masuk office bekerja seperti biasa :)

All in all, I really enjoyed myself. Jarang sangat dapat peluang untuk bond dengan nature nih. Alhamdulillah, dapat juga menikmati keindahan alam ciptaan Allah S.W.T.
