If you follow me on my Instagram, you would've probably noticed that I updated about our office wear for 2016. Yes, I prefer to call it office wear instead of 'uniform' cause the word 'uniform' makes me imagine a bunch of assembly line workers. Again, the difference in terminology makes you understand a word differently...while some still look at this new office wear as 'uniform'.
Anyway, we've been wearing the so called 'uniform' since 2015 when it was finally ready by the end of 2014. I did not voted to wear this so called 'uniform' cause ada banyak baju kerja nak pakai. Entah macam mana, masa retreat 2013...usul pasal 'uniform' ni diluluskan dan 'uniform' ditempah pada 2014 dan mula dipakai pada 2015. This one was custom made...a tailor came to measure us all and memang makan masa juga lah nak siap dan alter berkali-kali sebab tailor ni buat small bisnes sendiri sambil kerja dengan bos yang ada company besar. Patutlah lambat siap!
Ada 3 pasang masa tuh, kemeja biru, kuning and blouse hitam, seluar hitam dan kelabu and skirt hitam. Boleh lah tapi tak tahan lama dan saya tak pasti kenapa. I understand that yang kita tak boleh nak puaskan hati semua orang. Disebabkan oleh yang demikian, office meeting yang baru-baru ni...a majority of staffs voted for new 'uniform'. I couldn't care less sebab ada ke tak de ke sama je, cumanya I prefer it to be purchased ready made instead of custom made since we had a bad experience with the previous tailor. When they say 'uniform', I understand that everybody should be wearing the same clothes tapi ada pula yang request nak beli sendiri sebab susah nak cari size. Macam-macam...
Straight away...I recommended to the Partner that there are a few boutiques in Shah Alam yang cater to our unique sizes, salah satu daripadanya ialah SuriSara. Dan entah macam mana, Partner tetiba lantik saya jadi AJK 'uniform'. When something is thrown at me of course saya akan sambut dengan sebaiknya :) Hihi...nak tak nak pun kena buat sebab bos dah suruh, iya tak? Berani ke cakap 'NO' dekat bos? The worst thing you can say to your boss is 'Saya cuba', betul tak?
Selepas 1 meeting 'uniform', 1 fitting 'uniform' dan beribu-ribu Whatsapp messages...akhirnya kami mula pakai our new office wear on 11 Januari 2016 yang lalu.

Yes, there were hiccups along the way sepanjang saya jadi AJK office wear baru ni. Antaranya, ada yang tak dapat size yang diminta, ada yang warna bajunya lain dengan orang lain, kami terlebih bajet dan kena top up sendiri sebab bos tak nak tambah lagi dah, kena hantar alter sendiri dan macam-macam lagi. Yes, there are pros and cons of having the office wear custom made and purchased ready made. Puas dah explain kat semua and again...I can't please everyone, betul tak? I've tried and done my best. I'm sure masing-masing ada complaints masing-masing pasal office wear ready made ni pula just like how I complained about the previous custom made 'uniform'.
Masa nak pergi ambil office wear dekat SuriSara tu, it was the last working day of 2015 and boss bagi pelepasan awal that day at 3.00 p.m. I left office around 10.45 a.m. sebab bila dah settle office wear tu I had a short meeting with client in Glenmarie. Sampai butik SuriSara around 12.00 tengahari macam tu, tunggu staffs butik pack kan baju untuk 14 orang, 3 baju setiap orang...you alls agak lama tak I tunggu? Dalam sejam jugak lah. Habis je dia orang packing...I carried 7 paper bags in my left hand, 7 paper bags in my right hand, I had my laptop bag pack on my back and my handbag hanging on my right shoulder. You can try to imagine how I looked like ;P And my car was not parked anywhere near the boutique. I walked 400 meters looking like that to my car where I assumed everybody who saw me must have mistaken me as a personal shopper. And at that moment I realized, I will never become a personal shopper...penat yang amat sangat kot!
Lepas tu masuk kereta, terus shoot jumpa client and I didn't have lunch sebab takut lambat muncul masa nak jumpa client tu. Settled with client dalam setengah jam and terus aim untuk balik ambil Kaisara, beli lunch and balik rumah.
It was a tiring day indeed that day, siapa yang melaluinya sahaja yang akan faham. Nasib baiklah the next day tu cuti new year.
If any of my colleagues happen to read this post, I would like to apologize if I couldn't fulfill all your needs in relation to the new office wear, I've tried my best and I hope you enjoy wearing them.
Apparently, highly successful people wear the same thing everyday. Just take a look at Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs and Albert Einstein.
Just imagine if we had to wear the same office wear every single day...rasa-rasanya you alls nak tak? Of course there would be more than one piece of the same outfit lah, kalau tak....nampak sangat baju tu tak basuh ;P
